Membership Covenant

Having been led, as we believe, by the Spirit of God, to receive the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and on the profession of our faith, having been baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, we do now, in the presence of God, angels, and this assembly, most solemnly and joyfully enter into covenant with one another, as one body in Christ.

By the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and through the sanctifying work of the Spirit, we resolve before the eternal, just and Holy God:

To be a whole-hearted follower of Jesus Christ, giving up our will for His;

To seek to know Jesus Christ through regular and intensive study of the Word of God both publicly and privately;

To seek His will for this Church, our families, and our individual lives through regular and intensive times of prayer;

To be obedient to what we clearly understand is the direction of God’s will following those times of Bible study and prayer;

To whole-heartedly love each other through the power of the Holy Spirit;

To share the Hope of God’s salvation with all whom we meet;

To support and encourage spiritual growth in each other;

To serve each other at all times, especially in times of need;

To hold and be held accountable by fellow Christian brothers and sisters in times of wavering without threat of anger or retaliation;

To choose to forgive when we have been wronged and quickly seek forgiveness of those we have wronged;

To strive to make disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ so that His Name and Glory may spread to all people over all the earth.

Furthermore, we commit that when we remove from this place we will, as soon as possible, unite with another body of Christian Believers so we can carry out the spirit of this covenant and the principles of God’s Word in order to know Christ Jesus and make Him known.
