1. Plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates all the church’s efforts in worship and discipleship through work with the Worship Leadership Team and the Discipleship Leadership Team.
 

2. Works with pastor, choirs and other worship arts groups to plan worship services. Maintains the library of music and other worship resources.
 

3. Conducts adult and children’s choir rehearsals and leads these groups to participate in worship services.
 

4. Plans music programs for special times during the year such as Christmas, Easter, revivals, etc.
 

5. Consults with members concerning music for weddings and funerals. Assists when called on.
 

6. Leads in the development and proper use of technology used during worship services (sound system, recordings, multimedia projection, etc.)
 

7. Assists in developing curriculums that will lead to church members’ deepening discipleship including new Christian classes, ongoing Bible study, doctrine and theology studies, and courses on the Christian disciplines.
 

8. Plans special events that promote Christian renewal (retreats, seminars, special courses).
 

9. Equips church members to carry out worship and discipleship functions, with the goal of involving members in the work in ever-increasing ways.
 

10. Assists in making budget recommendations, nominating recommendations, and in facilities use management.
 

11. Discusses the full scope of this work with the pastor and other ministerial staff, and assists other staff members as needed, fostering a team approach to ministry.
